FAQs

About the process
What is your typical web design process?
My process generally follows these steps: we start with a discovery and planning conversation to understand your goals, an invoice will be sent.
After payment is made, content creation, design development, and finally, a review and launch.
How much involvement will I have during the design process?
Your involvement is crucial. You'll be a partner throughout the project, especially during the planning phase and design reviews, to ensure the final product meets your vision.
How do we communicate during the project?
We will establish a primary point of contact and use a common communication tools for all communications, feedback, and approvals.
ie: email, text and/or phone calls
This keeps everything organized and transparent.
How long does it take to design a website?
The timeline varies depending on the project's complexity and scope. A standard small business site can take several weeks, while a large, custom-built site may take several months. We will provide a clear timeline in your project proposal.
What materials do I need to provide?
You are typically responsible for providing all written content and images. Please request stock videos and images if you do not have your own as of yet.
We can offer professional content creation and photography services for an additional fee if needed.
What if I need revisions?
Our website projects include a specific number of revision rounds during the design phase. We'll detail this in your proposal, with additional revisions available for an extra charge.
Pricing and cost
How much does a new website cost?
Website costs depend heavily on the project's scope, including the number of pages, custom features, and complexity. We offer a detailed quote after our initial consultation, but a simple small business site can range from $600 to $8,000, and more complex sites can cost significantly more.
What does your pricing include?
Our quotes provide a detailed breakdown of all included services, such as design mockups, development, and a specific number of pages. We also clearly define what is not included, such as domain registration or hosting fees, unless specified.
Why is custom web design more expensive than a template?
Custom websites are built from the ground up to be unique to your brand, which often requires more time and specialized coding. Templates are more affordable but offer less customization and control.
What is the payment process?
Payments are due before the project is created.
To begin the project, take care of your payment with Zelle, Venmo, and/or a credit card.
Technical and post-launch
Do I own my website after it's finished?
Yes, you will have full ownership of your website and its contents. This includes access credentials to the hosting and content management system (CMS).
Will my website be mobile-friendly?
All websites we design are built with a responsive design, meaning they will automatically adapt and display correctly on all devices, from desktops to smartphones. Somethings are not automatically displayed properly so, doing edits on the mobile version of the site is usually a necessity.
Can I update the website myself?
Yes, we build most of our websites on user-friendly content management systems (CMS) and provide training after launch. This allows you to update text and images yourself.
Do you offer maintenance plans?
Yes, we offer ongoing support and maintenance plans that cover software updates, security scans, backups, and minor site changes to keep your website secure and running smoothly.
Do you handle search engine optimization (SEO)?
We build all websites following SEO best practices to ensure they are optimized for search engines from the start. For more extensive SEO strategies, we can discuss additional services.
How does hosting work?
You can use your own hosting provider, or we can manage it for you. Your website must have a hosting plan to be accessible online.
